This page explains how to have your GarageOS account and its data deleted, what gets removed, and what the law obliges us to keep.

There is no delete button inside the app yet. We are not going to pretend otherwise. Deletion is handled by request, by a person, and it is honoured — the steps are below and they work today.

How to ask

Send an email to info@rpsofttech.com with the subject Delete my account.
Send it from an address we can tie to you, or include the mobile number you sign in with. That number is the account, so it is the only thing we need to find you.
Tell us whether you are a garage's customer or a garage owner or staff member. The two are deleted differently, for the reasons set out below.

We will confirm by SMS or a reply to that address before anything is deleted, so that nobody can close your account by writing to us in your name. If we cannot reach you to confirm, we will not proceed.

Timing. We act within 30 days of confirming the request, and usually within a few working days.

If you are a garage's customer

Deleted

Your account, name and mobile number.
The vehicles you added, and their registration numbers.
Your notification token, so the app can no longer reach your phone.
Your sign-in sessions, immediately.

Kept, and why

Issued invoices	An invoice is a tax record belonging to the garage that issued it, not to us. Indian GST rules require a business to keep them.	At least six years

Where a record has to be kept, your name and mobile number are removed from it wherever the document does not legally require them. What remains is the work and the amount, not you.

If you are a garage owner or staff member

A staff account is deleted the same way, and the person who owns the garage can also remove staff directly in the app under Staff.

Closing an entire garage is different. A garage account carries other people's records — its customers' vehicles, job cards and invoices, and its staff members' accounts. We will not delete those on a single email. Write to us and we will take you through it, including what has to be exported or handed over first, and what your own customers are entitled to.

What we never had

Worth saying, because it shortens the list: GarageOS has no advertising, no analytics service, and no third-party tracking. It does not read your contacts, your location, your messages, or your call history. There is no profile of you held anywhere to delete.

If something is wrong

If you asked for deletion and it did not happen, or you believe data about you is still held, write again to the same email address and say so.
